YOUNG PEOPLE’S ACTIVITY CLUB
The group has gone from strength to strength since it began in April this year. Funds from the Parish Hall have provided us with a table tennis table, small snooker table and football table. These are all being enjoyed by both the girls and boys.
Three members of the Short Mat Bowls Club came one evening to show the children how to bowl, which they loved and it looks as if a few of them could be future bowlers. Thanks to Morris, Maureen and Gordon who gave up their time to show us how to play.
We made pancakes in one session and it was interesting to see the combination of toppings that were chosen!!! We had a great beach party in June when we had Hot Dogs, Sausages and Burgers, cooked on the beach, played rounders and cricket ( a big thanks to the Dads who helped), joined several rock pools together via streams and the whole event was described as ‘ACE’ by one of the boys. We have had a break for the month of August but will resume on Monday 6th September
at 6p.m. until 7.30 at the Village hall. Please bring your children along to join in the fun. We only charge a £1 per session putting all the money towards buying equipment, drinks and goodies.
Special thanks to Peter, Josie, Sally, Charlie, Ann and the Mums who make the sessions possible . Any help that can be offered would be much appreciated.
